The first Baltic pianist to establish himself in the top tier of international classical artists, the Latvian-born, Berlin-based Osokins is celebrated for his performances of repertoire ranging from Bach and Scarlatti to Arvo P\u00e4rt and P\u0113teris Vasks, via Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and many more. Critics highlight his \u201cimpeccable technique\u201d (France Musique), \u201csubtlety of touch\u201d (The Strad) and \u201cagility and grace\u201d (Gramophone). Osokins has performed at major venues and festivals including Elbphilharmonie, Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, Pierre Boulez Saal, Salzburg Festival, Lockenhaus Festival, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Vancouver Playhouse, Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Hall and the Shanghai Music Festival.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134245417&quot;:false,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">September 2025 sees the release of his debut album with\u202fDeutsche Grammophon\u202f\u2013\u202f<\/span><b><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">For Arvo<\/span><\/i><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">, featuring the complete piano works of Arvo P\u00e4rt, marking the legendary composer\u2019s 90th anniversary. <\/span>In the 25\/26 season, Osokins performs solo recitals in Berlin, Munich, Helsinki, Riga, at the Arvo P\u00e4rt Center in Estonia, for the Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Klavier Festival Ruhr, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, the Weidener Meisterkonzerte, and in Polling.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">In the 2025\/26 season, Osokins makes his debut with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande performing <em><strong>Chopin\u2019s Piano Concerto No. 2<\/strong><\/em> at Geneva\u2019s Victoria Hall, Lucerne\u2019s KKL and in Lausanne under the baton of Mirga Gra\u017einyt\u0117-Tyla. With\u202fKremerata Baltica, he undertook a tour across Asia, appearing in major concert halls in\u202fSouth Korea, China, and Taiwan. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Osokins frequently collaborates with Gidon Kremer, touring across the UK, Ireland, Europe, Asia, and the USA. The UK-based label\u202fPiano Classics\u202fsubsequently issued two of his recordings dedicated to\u202fChopin\u2019s late works\u202fand to\u202fRachmaninoff, both receiving critical acclaim in leading music magazines across the UK, Canada, Germany, Denmark, and France. In 2022, the German label\u202fAccentus\u202freleased Osokins\u2019 first chamber music album, recorded alongside\u202fGidon Kremer\u202fand\u202fGiedr\u0117 Dirvanauskait\u0117, featuring trios by Chopin and Beethoven. The recording was nominated for both the\u202fInternational Classical Music Awards\u202fand\u202fthe Opus Klassik. His earliest lessons were with his father, Sergejs Osokins, and he continued his studies at Riga\u2019s Em\u012bls D\u0101rzi\u0146\u0161 Music School, whose former students also include the world-renowned Mariss Jansons, Gidon Kremer, Misha Maisky and Andris Nelsons, among others.
