Raised in New\u202fZealand and of Tongan heritage, Filipe Manu is one of the most exciting tenors of his generation, recently becoming the first singer from the Pacific and Australasia to win the prestigious Tenor Vi\u00f1as International Singing Competition (2024). A graduate of the world-renowned Jette Parker Young Artist Programme at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Manu has already made significant debuts at Covent Garden, Wiener Staatsoper, Op\u00e9ra National de Paris, and the Staatsoper Hamburg.<\/p>\n
Recent highlights of his career include acclaimed debuts as Fenton (Falstaff<\/em><\/strong>) at the Glyndebourne Summer Festival, Paris (La Belle H\u00e9l\u00e8ne<\/em><\/strong>) in Toulon, and Ernesto (Don Pasquale<\/em><\/strong>) with Scottish Opera.
