Matthias Goerne has appeared on the world\u2019s principal opera stages including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Z\u00fcrich Opera House, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Teatro Real in Madrid, Paris National Opera, and the Vienna State Opera. His roles range from Pizzaro (Fidelio<\/em><\/strong>), Wolfram (Tannh\u00e4user<\/em><\/strong>), Amfortas (Parsifal<\/em><\/strong>), Wotan (Die Walk\u00fcre<\/em><\/strong>, Das Rheingold<\/em><\/strong>), Kurwenal (Tristan und Isolde<\/em><\/strong>), Orest (Elektra<\/em><\/strong>), and Jochanaan (Salome<\/em><\/strong>) to the title roles in B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k\u2019s Duke Bluebeard\u2019s Castle<\/em><\/strong> and Alban Berg\u2019s Wozzeck<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n Highlights on the concert stage include engagements with the Vienna Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Philharmonic, the Staatskapelle Dresden, the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig and the Pittsburgh Symphony.
