27-year-old Kosovar Tenor Granit Musliu is among the most promising young singers of his generation. He received his vocal training at the University of Pristina and the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Theater Hamburg. He is a former member of the opera studio at the Bayerische Staatsoper and is currently a part of the ensemble for the season 2024\/25, a tenure he continues in season 2025\/26.<\/p>\n
The 2025\/26 season holds several exciting debuts, beginning with Musliu\u2019s first performances at Staatsoper Hamburg as Fenton in Falstaff<\/em><\/strong> followed by his role debut as Alfredo Germont in La Traviata<\/em><\/strong> at the Bayerische Staatsoper. The tenor makes his highly anticipated debut as the Duke in Verdi\u2019s Rigoletto<\/em><\/strong> at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, a role he later debuts at Op\u00e9ra de Lausanne.<\/p>\n At the Bayerische Staatsoper, he furthermore appears as Matteo Borsa in Rigoletto<\/em><\/strong>, as Malcolm in Macbeth<\/em><\/strong>, in Il Trovatore<\/em><\/strong> he takes the role of Ruiz and in Turandot<\/em><\/strong> he sings Pong.<\/p>\n Musliu\u2019s roles at the Bayerische Staatsoper in the 2024\/25 season included: Malcolm in Macbeth<\/em><\/strong>, Rustighello in a new production of Lucrezia Borgia<\/em><\/strong>, Alfred in Die Fledermaus, <\/em><\/strong>Edmondo in Manon <\/em><\/strong>Lescaut, Beppo in Pagliacci<\/em><\/strong> and Noble of Brabant in a new production of Lohengrin. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Musliu made his house debut as Cassio in Otello <\/em><\/strong>at Semperoper Dresden, where he later returned as Erster Edler in Lohengrin.\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Highlights of recent seasons at the Bayerische Staatsoper include Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor<\/em><\/strong>, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi<\/em><\/strong>, Harry in La Fanciulla Del West<\/em><\/strong>, Flavio in Norma<\/em><\/strong>, Ruiz in Il Trovatore<\/em><\/strong> and Festordner in a new production of Pique Dame<\/em><\/strong>, Jeppo Liverotto in Lucrezia Borgia<\/em><\/strong>, Adjutant in D. Tcherniakov\u2019s new production of Prokofiev\u2019s War and Peace<\/em><\/strong>, Ein Offizier in Ariadne auf Naxos<\/em><\/strong>, First Commissioner in Dialogues des Carmelites<\/em><\/strong> and Leibbojar in Boris Godunov<\/em><\/strong>.
