Formidable tenor Omar Mancini is one of the promising young voices of his generation. The tenor made his opera debut as the solo tenor in the Petite Messe Solennelle<\/em><\/strong> by Rossini as part of the 150th anniversary of the composer\u2019s death in 2018. He was awarded in numerous competitions (including winning first prize in the Antonio Falconio Summer Edition & Salvatore Licitra opera singing competition) and is a current ensemble member at Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Gen\u00e8ve.<\/p>\n Omar Mancini kicked of the 2023-24 season in the role of Il Conte di Libenskof in Rossini\u2019s Il viaggio a Reims<\/em><\/strong> at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. He stars at Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Gen\u00e8ve\u2019s as Italian Tenor in Strauss\u2019s Rosenkavalier <\/em><\/strong>directed by Christoph Walz, Arbace in Mozart\u2019s Idomeneo<\/em><\/strong> and Fr\u00e8re Helie in Massiaen\u2019s Saint Fran\u00e7ois d\u2019Assise<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n At the Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Gen\u00e8ve Mancini sang the role of Roberto\/Earl of Leicester (cover) in Donizetti\u2019s Maria Stuarda<\/em><\/strong>, as Dritter Knappe in Wagner\u2019s Parsifal<\/em><\/strong> and as Eurimaco in Monteverdi\u2019s Il ritorno d\u2019Ulisse in patria<\/em><\/strong>. In June 2023, he performed the role of Abdallo in Verdi\u2019s Nabucco<\/em><\/strong>, alongside Saioa Hernandez as Abigaille and Nicola Alaimo as Nabucco. Further highlights of past seasons include his debut at the Teatro Sociale di Como with the role of the Guardian in Giovanni Sollima\u2019s Acquaprofonda<\/em><\/strong>, followed by Horatio\/La Voix Imaginarie de L\u00e8lio in Berlioz\u2019s Lelio ou le retour \u00e0 la vie<\/em><\/strong> (January 2022) and the role of Conte di Bandiera in Salieri’s La scuola de\u2019 gelosi<\/em><\/strong> (May 2022), both at the Teatro Regio di Torino.<\/p>\n He gave his debut at the Capri Opera Festival in the role of Rinuccio from Puccini\u2019s Gianni Schicchi<\/em><\/strong>. In 2021 he was selected for the Bottega Donizetti at the international festival Donizetti Opera<\/em> where took on the tenor part in C\u2019erano una volta due Bergamaschi<\/em><\/strong> presenting music from Gaetano Donizetti, Gioachino Rossini and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart amongst others.
