{"id":1470,"date":"2022-06-02T12:36:01","date_gmt":"2022-06-02T10:36:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/csam.tobetold.film\/?p=1470"},"modified":"2022-06-02T13:22:19","modified_gmt":"2022-06-02T11:22:19","slug":"serena-saenz-willkommen-bei-csam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csam.tobetold.film\/en\/news\/serena-saenz\/serena-saenz-willkommen-bei-csam\/","title":{"rendered":"Serena S\u00e1enz: Welcome to CSAM!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Acclaimed Spanish soprano Serena S\u00e1enz joins CSAM for General Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Centre Stage Artist Management is thrilled to announce that acclaimed Spanish soprano Serena S\u00e1enz has joined the roster for general management.<\/p>\n<p>Serena S\u00e1enz has been lauded by the press for her \u201cmusicality, good taste in ornamentation and luminous high notes with a good arsenal of bel canto resources\u201d (Scherzo).<\/p>\n<p>While being still very young, Serena S\u00e1enz is already a frequent guest of some of the most renowned opera houses in the world: in the 21\/22 seasons the Spanish soprano returns to the Staatsoper Berlin with several important role debuts: as Nannetta\u00a0in <strong><em>Falstaff,<\/em><\/strong> Zerbinetta in<em> <strong>Ariadne auf Naxos<\/strong> <\/em>and Zerlina in a new production of <strong><em>Don Giovanni<\/em><\/strong> (directed by Vincent Huguet and conducted by Daniel Barenboim). Other significant role debuts include Queen of the Night in <strong><em>Die Zauberfl\u00f6te<\/em><\/strong> at Opera de Oviedo, Clorinda\u00a0in <strong><em>La Cenerentola<\/em><\/strong> at Op\u00e9ra Orchestre National Montpellier, and Norina in <strong><em>Don Pasquale<\/em><\/strong> at Fundaci\u00f3 Opera de Catalunya. The young soprano makes a notable house debut at Liceu Opera Barcelona in the title role of\u00a0<strong><em>Lucia di Lammermoor<\/em><\/strong>, where she returns later as Prilepa\u00a0in <strong><em>The Queen of Spades<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>and Pamina in <strong><em>Die Zauberfl\u00f6te<\/em><\/strong> with Gustavo Dudamel.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021 Serena S\u00e1enz won the 1rst prize and the Audience Prize at the Montserrat Caball\u00e9 International Singing Competition and was honoured with multiple prizes at both the Paris Opera Competition and the Francisco Vi\u00f1as Competition Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, as a member of the Internationales Opernstudio Staatsoper Berlin, Serena appeared as Pamina in the premiere Yuval Sharon\u2019s production of <strong><em>Die Zauberfl\u00f6te<\/em><\/strong>, conducted by Alondra de la Parra.\u00a0Subsequent appearances for the house included further performances of Pamina, and notable role debuts: Frasquita in <strong><em>Carmen<\/em><\/strong> and Waldvogel in <strong><em>Siegfried<\/em><\/strong>, both conducted by Daniel Barenboim.<\/p>\n<p>Concert highlights include her recital debut and <strong><em>Carmina Burana<\/em><\/strong> at the Palau de la M\u00fasica Catalana; a Scarlatti programme with Accademia Bizantina at the Pierre Boulez-Saal; Mozart <strong><em>Mass in c Minor <\/em><\/strong>with Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica y Coro de RTVE and <strong><em>Mahler Symphony No. 4<\/em><\/strong> with Orquesta Sinfonica de Euskadi.<\/p>\n<p>The Spanish soprano studied at the Liceu Conservatoire in Barcelona with Prof. Dolors Aldea and at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik \u2018Hanns Eisler\u2019 in Berlin with Prof. Anna Samuil.<br \/>\nShe participated in masterclasses with Mariella Devia, Niel Shicoff, Wolfram Rieger, Montserrat Caball\u00e9, Teresa Berganza, Dolora Zajick, and Riccardo Frizza.
